Dozens of residents were forced out into the rain Sunday afternoon after a fire broke out in their Wilmington apartment building.

Flames poured from the window of a 7th floor apartment on the 1400 block on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Fire crews were able to contain the blaze to just one unit, but the hallway suffered smoke damage.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries and about 100 residents were forced to evacuate.

Investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire.
