Former Philly News Anchor Alycia Lane Lands in L.A.

Controversial former CBS3 news anchor Alycia Lane has resurfaced as a reporter at KNBC in Los Angeles.
The move was announced on NBCLosAngeles.com.
Lane, an Emmy Award-winning journalist, will serve as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter starting August 19, according to the NBC-owned-and-operated TV station.
She was let go by CBS3 in January 2008 after a series of controversies.
Lane was very popular in her time behind the anchor desk at CBS3. The 11 p.m. news saw a 32-percent jump in ratings in her first two years at the station after signing on in 2003.
“Alycia is an experienced anchor and skilled reporter who has a tremendous ability to engage and connect with the audience,” said Craig Robinson, President and General Manager, KNBC. “Her energy and talent will be great assets to KNBC, and we look forward to her contributions to our newsroom.”
A native of Long Island, she has also worked for WTVJ in Miami, Fla., cable news station News 12 in New York, and as a Washington-based reporter for KSNT-TV in Topeka, Kansas.
