DEA Agent Shot by Co-Worker

A DEA agent is at Temple University Hospital after being accidentally shot by a another agent.

 

It happened at 4337 Fleming Street in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.

 

The DEA task force group and detectives with the Philadelphia police were executed a search warrant.

 

They searched the home in connection with a crack cocaine investigation.

 

During the raid a dog attacked the officers and one of the officers shot the dog.  One of those bullets meant for the dog accidentally struck John Douglass, a 12-year veteran of the drug enforcement division of the DEA.

 

He was struck in the calf and has been updated to stable/good condition at Temple hospital. 

He will remain in the hospital overnight.

During the raid agents arrested Frank Herbert.  He is charged with drug sales.

DEA agents did seize narcotics from the house. 

 

They seized 1 oz in pot, 1/2 oz of cocaine and $8,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia.
