Saint Francis Healthcare is expanding its relationship with Jefferson Health System.
The health system based in Wilmington, Del., formed a partnership with Jefferson Outpatient Imaging, which will provide PET/CT services to Saint Francis Hospital patients on Thursdays.
PET, or positron emission tomography, and CT, computed tomography, are both types of advanced imaging used by doctors to pinpoint disease states in the body. A PET scanner shows the biological function of the body, while a CT scan provides information about the body’s anatomy.
