New Del. Laws Include Limits on Some Med Copays

A new law taking effect in Delaware limits patient copays for ``specialty tier'' prescription drugs to $150 a month for up to a 30-day supply.

Another new Delaware law allows parents to freeze their children's credit at any time to protect them from identity theft.

Also, starting Wednesday, Delaware veterans groups and fraternal organizations like the Moose and Elks, which received special permission to offer slot machine gambling, must contribute at least 40 percent of gambling proceeds to charitable purposes.

Another new Delaware law, which applies to vehicles titled on or after Jan. 1, requires commercial vehicles weighing 26,001 lbs. or more to have an audible reverse warning signal, backup camera or other device to alert the driver when the vehicle is approaching an object.
