You Can Run, But You Can't Hide — From Ragweed

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) _ Ragweed sufferers better stock up on tissues.

Ragweed season is under way and some experts are warning a bumper crop of pollen could make this year the worse.

Leonard Bielory of the state's Asthma and Allergy Research Center in Newark says no outdoor place is ragweed-free.

Officials say the summer's heavy rainfall has helped ragweed plants thrive and they're filled with pollen.

Sufferers can lessen the severity of allergy attacks by staying indoors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. when pollen counts are highest.

Ragweed season lasts until the first frost.
