Beef Recall Could Taint Your Holiday BBQ

You better check your burgers before you toss them on the grill this holiday weekend. Almost 96,000 pounds of ground beef was recalled because of possible E. coli contamination.

The recall involves a variety of ground beef products from Valley Meats in Illinois.

Some people in Pennsylvania have been sickened by the tainted meat, according to the Department of Agriculture.

Brands involved in the recall include 3s, Grillmaster, J&B, Klub, Thick 'N Savory and Ultimate.

There are over a dozen items with no specific name. But all potentially tainted beef is marked "est. 5712" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

E. coli can be deadly and causes bloody diarrhea and dehydration. Anyone who is sick and may have eaten the meat should call a doctor right away, government health officials said.
