Be a 10 in 10 Weeks: Week Seven

10 weeks, four people and one kick-your-butt boot camp

People cross bridges many times throughout their life -- sometimes for the better, other times for the worse. For the four men and women competing in our Be a 10 in 10 Weeks fitness challenge, they have chosen to navigate a span towards better health.

And this week, our fitness quartet decided to take a more literal approach to "crossing the bridge" by running all 9,573 feet worth of the Ben Franklin -- twice.

"Hughe, stop taking pictures and run," screamed Fusion Fitness trainer Gavin McKay. He's been acting as our boot camper's guide along the road to fitness, but Hughe Dillon was naturally distracted while shuffling across the blue-toned bridge -- he is a photographer, after all.

The blogger and local celebrity paparazzo is working hard to make a change in his life. "I was afraid to go out," Hughe said for fear of being ridiculed. There have been a few setbacks along the way, but after this week's results Hughe can afford to stop and take in the sights. He completed four workouts and dropped another 2.5 lbs. bringing the total loss thus far to 11 lbs.

"I don't look like a 10, but I feel like I am on my way to living a 10 life," Hughe says in his latest post.

Megan Smith never thought she'd be able to run the bridge. "It feels good to actually be able to do it," admitted Smith. The public relations maven has religiously hit the gym six times a week and its been paying off. She dropped another 2 lbs. this week racking up a total loss of 8 lbs. -- that's a third of the way to her goal of losing 25 lbs!

"Amazing" is all Nicole Michalik could muster as she took in the views of Philadelphia from the 83-year old bridge. The Q102 disc jockey and Biggest Loser wants to finish what she started. Nicole's already dropped a 140 lbs., so what's another 20? But it's harder than you might think.

She stepped up her workouts this week, but only dropped a quarter of a pound. Though, something tells us that a little plateau won't deter this girl.

Joe Matthews decided to bring a friend along to this week's field trip -- his puppy. The interior designer and model is working to tone up and reignite his runway career. And though he's already had success, landing a new modeling gig for a national sporting clothes company, Joe hasn't slowed down -- on the workouts that is. He racked up six workouts this week, but stayed put in the weight department at 179 lbs.

No word on how much Joe's Golden lost, but thinking like a puppy can help you make healthy choices the next time you eat says our expert trainer Gavin McKay. He's offering some food for thought, as you get ready to cross that next bridge of your own.
