Delaware Man Unlawfully Possesses Horseshoe Crabs: Police

Natural Resources Police have charged a commercial waterman with 224 commercial shellfish violations.

An agency spokesman said in an email Thursday that 37-year-old Jason T. Watson of Milford was arrested Nov. 1 after an investigation.

Watson is charged with unlawful possession of horseshoe crabs, no horseshoe crab dredge permit and other offenses. He was released on $20,350 unsecured bond.

Police say no commercial dredge permits to harvest horseshoe crabs were issued this year.
