Congressman Fattah Fights in Colbert's Honor

Congressman Chaka Fattah has joined the fight to have NASA name it's newest module in honor of Stephen Colbert.

“The people have spoken and Stephen Colbert won it fair and square. We insist on democracy in orbit,” Fattah said on a recent episode of “Colbert Report.”

NASA hosted an online contest to name a new module on the International Space Station and the faux pundit urged his fans to rush to the polls and cast their votes for "Colbert." More than 230,000 responded and the Comedy Central star won the election fair and square.

But, Houston we have a problem, NASA is threatening to override the votes and ignore the people's call to name International Space Station Node No. 3 “Colbert.” NASA may instead choose the runner-up, “Serenity,” as the name.

"'Serenity'? That's not a space station, that's an adult diaper," Colbert joked.

NASA is now suggesting it may meet “Colbert Report” viewers halfway and name the node’s toilet “Colbert” instead.
