Meehan Beats Lentz

U.S. Attorney and Republican Pat Meehan has won Joe Sestak's Congress seat in the 7th district.

Meehan beat Democrat Bryan Lentz to fill the seat that has been held by Sestak since 2006. Sestak vacated the seat to run for U.S. Senate.

The 54-year-old Meehan was a local district attorney before becoming the region's top federal prosecutor and overseeing some
big Philadelphia corruption cases. Meehan has deep roots in the area and deep campaign pockets.

Lentz is a 46-year-old Iraq War veteran, former Airborne Ranger and one-time Philadelphia prosecutor. His shoe-leather campaign has included 25 town hall meetings focused on jobs.
