Atlantic City's Shuttered Trump Plaza Sells Off Its Slot Machines

The parent company of the former Trump Plaza casino is selling off its slot machines.

Trump Entertainment Resorts is asking a bankruptcy court in Delaware for permission to sell the last 353 of its slots to Patriot Gaming & Electronics, a New Jersey firm that sells new and used slot machines and parts.

The machines would be sold for just under $150,000.

A previous batch of slots from the casino has already been sold.

Trump Plaza closed on Sept. 16.

Trump Entertainment is trying to keep its last remaining casino, the Trump Taj Mahal, open. But its would-be purchaser, billionaire Carl Icahn, says the Taj "will almost certainly close."

The company will only commit to running the Taj through the end of November.
