A local food truck received a portion of a $50,000 grant this week, bringing it one step closer to its brick-and-mortar goal.
Spot Gourmet Burgers, Steaks & Pork, or Spot, won $15,000 this week during Cooking Up Success, a culinary business competition by The Enterprise Center.
The remaining funds were divvied up among other winners.
The prize, set up like a forgivable loan program, is significant for the food cart because it’s currently in the midst of opening up a brick-and-mortar restaurant.
