Allentown’s Talen Energy Corp. agreed to sell its renewable energy business to California-based Energy Power Partners for $116 million, according to SEC filings.
The sale has not yet been approved by federal regulators, but stands to close by the end of the year if it is approved. The sale will consist of 25 projects in four states.
Formerly known as PPL EnergyPlus, Talen (NYSE:TLN) employs 3,500.
