    Philadelphia's Job Sustainability Ranks an Abysmal 109th Among U.S. Cities
    Philadelphia's economy isn't too hot, according to a new survey.

    Philadelphia's economy and job sustainability rank 109th among all U.S. cities, according to the 2013 Milken Institute Best-Performing Cities Index.

    That's down from a 2012 rank of 90th overall.

    Philadelphia's one-year job growth (from 2011-2012) ranked 159th out of all metropolitan areas — a deep fall from the 2011 rankings, when the city came in 45th place.

    Meanwhile, the five-year job growth (2007-2012) fared better at 77th. Read more about this story at PBJ.com
