Philadelphia's economy and job sustainability rank 109th among all U.S. cities, according to the 2013 Milken Institute Best-Performing Cities Index.
That's down from a 2012 rank of 90th overall.
Philadelphia's one-year job growth (from 2011-2012) ranked 159th out of all metropolitan areas — a deep fall from the 2011 rankings, when the city came in 45th place.
