Where PPA Issues the Most Tickets in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Parking Authority's enforcement officers issued more than 1.8 million parking tickets in Center City over a more than three year span starting January 2012, according to an Inquirer analysis of newly released PPA data.

The PPA wrote 4.9 million tickets between January 2012 and March 2015, with the city's central district outpacing every other neighborhood while a few Old City blocks were particularly susceptible to citations.

The 500 block of South 2nd Street – where cars fill angled spaces in Headhouse Square, just north of South Street – was the No. 1 block for parking fines during the span. Drivers received 24,695 citations between January 2012 and March 2015 on that stretch.
