Philly Pretzel Factory Donates ‘Tebow Pretzel' Sales to QB's Foundation

Fans of salty snacks and the Philadelphia Eagles flocked to Philly Pretzel Factory stores earlier this year when the eatery offered a Tim Tebow-inspired pretzel for a limited time. Now the 17-year-old company is donating sales of the doughy treat to the NFLer's charitable foundation.

"We didn't even expect to sell them," said Marty Ferrill, Philly Pretzel Factory president.

"We made it and took a picture of it and sent it to Tim Tebow on Twitter and said, 'welcome to Philadelphia,'" explained Ferrill, a self-described Eagles fanatic. "Then after that people started calling and asked if we were selling these."

Several area franchisees sold the pretzel, twisted into the Florida Gator's iconic pose. Philly Pretzel Factory's corporate store, located at 7366 Frankford Ave. in the city's Mayfair section, sold 1,113 "Tebowing" pretzels for a $1 each during one week in April following the former Denver Bronco's quarterback's signing with the Eagles.

The store's $1,113 in sales was donated to The Tim Tebow Foundation... Read more about the giving at PBJ.com.
