Target to Sell Products Designed by Philadelphia University Students

The work of four Philadelphia University industrial design students has garnered them more than a grade.

A Toronto-based home products design firm, Umbra, approached the university last year, working with about 25 students throughout the fall on the "back to school" products they created.

β€œThis level of visibility and volume is huge for any designer, let alone a student, and will open many doors for them in the future," said Lyn Godley, associate professor of industrial design, who co-taught the design studio course with Mike Leonard, academic dean of the School of Design and Engineering.
