Camden Observation Tower Hangs in Limbo

A 300-foot observation tower overlooking the Camden, N.J., waterfront was supposed to be South Jersey's newest landmark -- but it's currently hanging in limbo.

The Skyview Tower, the 12,500-square-foot ride that would carry people 300 feet above the ground via open-air gondolas, was announced almost two years ago with an expected debut date of 2015, but its actual opening date remains unknown.

Calls to Herschend Family Entertainment, the parent company of Adventure Aquarium, and Camden's economic development organization Cooper's Ferry Partnership were directed to Adventure Aquarium.
