Montgomery County Firm Planning to Hire 2,000 Temporary Agents

A Montgomery County teleservices outsourcing provider is planning to hire and train about 2,000 temporary health insurance agents this summer as it gets ready for this year's open enrollment period.

Corporate Call Center Inc. of Blue Bell, Pa., will be training the workers needed by its health insurance company clients to field calls and answer questions from consumers about medical coverage.

The open enrollment period that starts in the fall is typically when businesses will provide employees with new insurance options, when senior adults decided whether to keep or change their Medicare coverage, when low-income people and families enroll in Medicaid managed care plans, and when individuals purchase coverage for the following year through the Obamacare marketplaces created under the Affordable Care Act.
