Local Bank CEO Among Nation's Highest-Paid

A relative newcomer was the only local member included in a new ranking of the nation’s highest paid bank CEOs from SNL Financial.

Sun Bancorp’s Thomas O’Brien was the 10th highest paid CEO among banks between $1 billion and $10 billion in total assets, according to the list that is based on 2014 proxy statements.

O’Brien has had a busy first year trying to restructure the Mount Laurel-based company by paring down 40 percent of its branch footprint as part of a larger cost-saving program.
