Advanced bookings in Philadelphia's hotels show people are indeed flocking to it for their extended Fourth of July weekend, according to a new report from Visit Philadelphia.
A recent report by Priceline (NASDAQ: PCLN) said Philadelphia ranked low on the list of top destinations for the Fourth of July based on the number of hotel reservations set for the city during the holiday weekend, but another report — and history — says otherwise.
“Our own numbers, based on advance bookings, are indicating a very strong — at least 90 percent — occupancy for Center City hotels in Philadelphia, with many hotels sold out already,” according to a report by Visit Philadelphia given to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
