I'm always quick to point out poor customer service and quick to come to the aid of viewers who ask me to help after they've been shafted. But now I have to give credit where credit is due.
I've always thought it was just responsible to have AAA, not to mention money saving. (I just rented a car through the AAA website and saved at least 13 dollars a day by going that route.) After a recent experience, I applaud AAA as a service providing organization. I met a girlfriend for coffee and a walk, and as we were getting ready to take off, I put my purse in my trunk, jabbering the whole time of course, and then before I know it- trunk shut, keys in purse- OOPS!
My first thought was, here we go, there goes our walk. I called AAA on my friend's phone, thinking of course I don't have my AAA card. Within minutes a very pleasant representative found my account, asked me if I was in a safe location and proceeded to dispatch someone. He told me the AAA person would be there in 40 minutes. Always skeptical, I thought ,"yeah, right". It was less than 40 minutes. The guy shows up, and within two minutes, I was in my car and he was telling me to have a nice day. Oh my gosh… nothing is ever that easy and pleasant. A big thank you to those AAA representatives.
