Eagles Nonprofit Charity Leader Steps Down After 20 Years

The founding executive director of the Philadelphia Eagles' nonprofit charity will be leaving after 20 years in order to lead a major grant-giving organization.

Sarah Martinez-Helfman will exit her role as executive director of the Eagles Youth Partnership, a role she assumed in 1995, to become president of the Samuel S. Fels Fund, effective Oct. 1.

Martinez-Helfman takes over the Fels Fund leadership role after Helen Cunningham left the job last month after 23 years in the position. She will stay on as adviser and consultant to Martinez-Helfman until September.
