Shelby Skrhak is the queen of finding deals on computers. She paid fewer than $300 for her mini-laptop.

Shelby checked some consumer Web sites and found the best value.
She then enhanced her bargain by surfing another Web site, grabbing a $50 coupon code and applying it to her purchase.
The best deals are on company Web sites, Shelby said.
"If you're looking to buy a Dell computer, go directly to Dell's site. They have great, great sales there, but also a lot of coupon codes," she said.
Shelby also saves big on software. She uses Internet-based documents to get free word processing and spreadsheets.
