Comcast Could Spend $3 Billion to Acquire DreamWorks: Report

Comcast is in talks to buy DreamWorks Animation for $3 billion, which could put the Philadelphia-based mass media giant on the same level as Disney in its entertainment vertical, according to the Wall Street Journal.

DreamWorks, which is currently valued at $2.3 billion, has produced hits that include Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar.

Comcast is the parent company of NBC Universal and NBC10.
