A crash near Philadelphia’s Vine Street Expressway Friday morning left a police car damaged and a driver suspected of driving under the influence.
The wreck along eastbound Vine Street near Broad Street around 4:10 a.m. left the Philadelphia Police cruiser with front-end damage and the back of the suspect's car -- including a rear wheel -- damaged.
Doctors at nearby Hahnemann Hospital treated the officer for some sprains, said Philly police. The other driver, suspected of being drunk, wasn't hurt.
The Vine Street Expressway (I-676) could be used as an alternate route.
