Fire at Historic Cemetery

A large shed caught fire this morning at a historic area cemetery.

Flames broke out around 9 a.m. in a maintenance shed at West Laurel Hill Cemetery along Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.

As SkyForce10 hovered overhead, smoke could be seen pouring out of the shed as firefighters battled the fire.

There were no reports of injuries.

The exact extent of damage wasn’t clear but firefighters did say the blaze was under control just before 9:30 a.m.

The National Register of Historic Places added the cemetery to its list of historic places in 1992.
