Emergency crews are clearing the scene of a school bus accident in Bridesburg.

It happened Monday around 4 p.m. on the 4100 block of Richmond Street.

Authorities say a car drove into the back of the bus and became wedged underneath it.  25 students from Maritime Academy Charter School were on the bus during the accident.

The driver told police that something was in his eye causing him to crash into the bus, according to investigators.

"I was more towrads the back," said Brianna Collins, a student at Maritime. "I was getting up to get off the bus and all I felt was a big crash."

Police say no one was injured but that two students were taken to the ambulance as a precaution.

The students were loaded onto another bus to take them home.
