A 14-year-old boy was hit by a school bus in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia Friday morning, according to investigators.

The incident happened a little after 7 on the 1700 block of E Hunting Park Avenue (near Kensington Avenue).

The child reportedly darted out in front of the bus as the bus went west on Hunting Park Avenue, according to Philadelphia Police.

The boy was hit by the right rearview mirror of the bus, police said.

The child suffered cuts and bruises and possibly broke his leg, cops said.

Police said that there were students on the bus at the time of the crash but no one on board was hurt. The kids were taken off the bus and put on another bus.

It was unclear what led to the crash.
