Gunfire Near Philadelphia High School Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Hurt

A triple shooting near a Philadelphia high school left one dead, Sunday night.

Gunfire rang out shortly after 8:45 p.m. along the 1300 block of E Price Street – that's about a block from Martin Luther King High School – in the city’s Germantown section.

A gunman opened fire on three men – a 34-year-old was struck twice and died a short time later at Einstein Medical Center. A 31-year-old man was listed in critical condition after being shot multiple times and another 31-year-old was stable with a gunshot wound to his leg, said Philadelphia Police.

No word yet on motive or suspects in the case.

About an hour later, a gunman shot a man in the back about a mile and half away at N Wister and Sheldon streets, said police. He died a short time later.

Investigators didn't make a connection between the shootings.
