Man's Death Near Temple Hospital Wasn't Murder: Sources

What was originally tabbed as a robbery and assault of a 60-year-old man outside of Temple University Hospital in North Philly Monday night appears to be neither, police said.

It appeared to have started as a verbal altercation between a pregnant woman described as having dark skin and wearing a dark hoodie and Nathaniel Dotson.

Originally police believed she was attempting to mug Dotson along the 1300 block of Tioga Street in North Philly. Dotson, of West Philly, was found unconscious and died after an altercation, police said.

Police tracked down the unidentified woman Tuesday, police sources told NBC Philadelphia's Deanna Durante.

She told police that she and Dotson knew each other and that they were having an argument because she believed he had taken something from her, sources said.

It appears that Dotson collapsed medically. It looks like she won't be held criminally responsible for Dotson's death, sources said.
