Police have found a missing 10-year-old girl but say they are still searching for her mother, who is accused of kidnapping her.

Kimiyah Scott was allegedly taken by her mother, Moriah Ford, 27. Police say it happened on Friday at 10:45 p.m. on the 2500 block of West Gordon Street. Ford left the area in a dark colored, Chevrolet sedan as a passenger, according to investigators.

Ford lost custody of her daughter back in October after she allegedly assaulted her. Police say there was an active arrest warrant issued for Ford for endangering the welfare of a child. Since the alleged assault, Scott was living with a custodial guardian. Police say the guardian was the one who reported she was missing after the alleged kidnapping.

On Sunday, shortly after 5:40 p.m., police announced they found Scott and returned her to a relative unharmed. However, they also say Ford has not yet been found.
