A twenty-six year old man was left lying on the ground with gunshot wounds in North Philadelphia Thursday afternoon. Police say two suspects have been apprehended. NBC10's Cydney Long reports (Published Thursday, Mar 7, 2013)

One man is hospitalized and two people were arrested after a shooting and police chase in North Philadelphia this afternoon.

The chase started at 3rd and Indiana Street just before 2 p.m. A 26-year-old man was shot twice in the legs, according to police. He was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition at this time.

Police pursued the alleged shooter and another suspect who were driving a silver Acura for about a block until the two men jumped out the car and ran on foot.

SkyForce10 showed police along the CSX train tracks and Americana Street, handcuffing one man and putting him into a police cruiser. Police arrested the second suspect nearby.

The pursuit ended near the same area where this week's other dramatic police chase weaved through North Philadelphia. Shayna Sykes is accused of racing through the area of 6th and Lehigh in a stolen police car, hitting parks cars along the way.

Sykes and her boyfriend, Blake Bills, have been charged with in a crime spree that began last Saturday and stretched first from the Lehigh Valley to Camden. It ended Tuesday in a two-state police chase from Camden, over the river and into the streets of Philadelphia.
