Officers Hurt as Suspect's Vehicle T-Bones Police SUV in West Philadelphia

A police vehicle crashed while in pursuit of a suspect Thursday night.

The crash at 59th and Master Streets in West Philadelphia happened after 19th District officers tried to pull over a Cadillac for having dark-tinted windows around 9:50 p.m., said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The car then took off, eventually T-boning a police SUV a few blocks away, causing the police vehicle to jump the curb and strike a house.

The wreck landed two officers at the hospital in stable condition with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The wreck also left the 23-year-old male driver of the Cadillac and his female passenger hospitalized.

Investigators found what appeared to be marijuana in the suspect's vehicle.
