The campus along Adams Avenue remained closed indefinitely with no information available about the root of the anonymous threat.
The school later canceled afternoon classes and kept its offices closed as police investigated the threat.
Marywood is a 100-year-old co-educational liberal arts college “roots itself in the Catholic intellectual tradition, the principle of justice, and the belief that education empowers people,” according to its website.
