A threat received through the internet has closed one Atlantic County High School Friday.

Mainland Regional High School was closed by district officials after the school, along with several others, received a threat through the internet on Thursday night.

New Jersey State Police do not believe the threat is a credible one, but officials decided to cancel classes as a precaution.

No word on exactly what the threat was or where it came from.
