Philadelphia Police surrounded a home in Northeast Philadelphia after a man barricaded himself inside with a sword Thursday afternoon.
Investigators didn’t reveal what led to the incident along the 10100 block of Jeannes Street around 2:15 p.m.
As SkyForce10 hovered overhead a short time later, you could see SWAT officers and firefighters gathering along the street as officers seemed to focus on the garage of a twin home.
The situation ended around 4:57 p.m. with officers taking the man into custody and rushing him to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, said police. It wasn't clear who or what caused the man's injuries.
No word yet on charges.
