The embattled executive director of the Philadelphia Housing Authority is out of a job. And Philly's former mayor took at shot at Carl Greene as he was on his way out the door.
Former Philly Mayor John Street, the chairman of the Housing Authority's board, compared Green to "the Tiger Woods of public housing," as he announced that Greene was getting canned.
The agency's board voted 4-1 to terminate Greene Thursday afternoon.
Greene was on leave since last month, when accusations surfaced that he used public money to settle sexual harassment complaints. He is also accused of coercing top employees to pay into a slush fund.
Greene's attorney, Clifford Haines, says Street has a vendetta against his client.
Greene has filed a lawsuit against the Housing Authority, the nation's fourth largest.
The PHA is now looking for an interim director.
