Brothers Arrested in Deadly Post Basketball Game Shooting

Two brothers from Chester are in custody for the deadly shooting of a teenager after a neighborhood basketball game last weekend

Two brothers from Chester, Pa. are in custody for the deadly shooting of a teenager after a neighborhood basketball game last weekend.

Jermaine and Jason Roberts were arraigned today on murder, conspiracy and robbery charges.

On Sunday, police say the brothers approached a group of friends in Darby, who were walking home from a basketball game around 10 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say Christopher  Brunston, 18,  and his five friends took off running and Brunston was shot as he ducked behind parked cars.

Brunston ran several blocks and started banging on the door of a home, before collapsing on the doorstep. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

This was just one of a series of violent episodes involving guns over the weekend. A 19-year-old was dragged from his Montgomery County home by masked gunman and found dead miles away. And, a Lackawanna College student was shot and killed following a party.
