The southbound lanes of the Blue Route (I-476) southbound were shut down this afternoon due to a car fire.
The car caught fire around 1:15 p.m. near the Schuylkill Expressway exit. The northbound lanes were also closed for a brief period as crews worked to clear the roadway.
There were no reported injuries.
More than a dozen emergency vehicles could be seen responding to the scene.
The lanes are now open again.
