A 9-month-old girl is safe after her father abducted her Friday, cops say

A 9-month-old girl was found safe and sound Friday night after an Amber Alert was issued for her and her father after she was taken from Hunterdon County, N.J.

Around 5:40 p.m., 31-year-old Damon Mammaro allegedly took his child Daniella Mammaro from the unit block of Siegreabe Avenue in Phillipsburg, N.J., according to New Jersey State Police.

Daniella was only wearing a diaper when she was taken, cops said.

Damon is a white male about 5-foot-10, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He has a tattoo of “Daniella” on one of his arms, a neck tattoo of "Rosary" and a scar on his right arm, according to authorities.

The alert was canceled at 8:55 p.m. Damon was arrested in Easton, Pa. and his daughter was unharmed, authorities said.

The suspect had allegedly been involved in a shooting with police before, said officials.
