Five people are hurt after a car slammed into a bagel shop in Burlington County Sunday.

Officials say the car crashed into “Bordentown Bagels” around 10 a.m. on 5 Mission Road in Bordentown Township, NJ. The owner of the shop, Marie Duven, tells NBC10 that four employees were inside when 48-year-old Maria Zola came barreling through the front window.

"I brought her into the store. She got the brunt of the damage and then there were three or four other people bleeding from the flying glass and it was horrific," Duven said.

Zola and four others were taken to the hospital. Officials have not yet revealed how severe those injuries are or how the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Police are investigating the accident.
