One person is dead and two others hurt after a motorcycle crash in the Holmesburg section of the city.
It happened around 3 p.m. on the 8300 block of State Road. Investigators say a man and a woman were riding the motorcycle, made a turn to avoid a tractor trailer and were struck by a car.
Both the man and the woman on the motorcycle were taken to Aria Health-Torresdale Hospital. The man, in his 20's, was pronounced dead at 4:14 p.m. The 23-year-old woman remains in critical condition. The driver of the car, a 72-year-old man, was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital with a leg injury. He is currently in stable condition.
Police continue to investigate the accident.
