Federal agents arrested a convicted murderer for allegedly selling the gun used to kill former NFL quarterback Steve McNair.

Adrian Gilliam Jr., 33, was arrested by federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, after detectives traced the gun back to a pawn shop. Gilliam admitted to investigators that he bought the 9 mm Bryco/Jennings for $100 about a a year and a half ago to protect his home after it was burglarized.

Gilliam sold the firearm to McNair's mistress, Sahel Kazemi, for the same amount,  in the parking lot of a mall where she worked at a Dave and Buster's restaurant, according to police.

Kazemi and Gilliam agreed to make the gun deal after first meeting over a car Kazemi was trying to sell. She eventually bought the gun for $100, two days before she killed McNair in his sleep, shooting him twice in the head and chest before killing herself, according to cops

Gilliam is charged with illegally possessing a firearm.
