Mexican Swine-Flu Slur No Bueno For Radio Jock

Boston radio show host gets suspended for "criminalien" remark

Talking about the swine flu has gotten this radio VJ in some agua caliente.

Boston talk radio host Jay Severin was suspended indefinitely Thursday for cracking jokes about the swine flu in Mexico and spouting racial slurs about Mexican immigrants on-air.

Severin called out Mexicans in America for being "criminaliens" who didn't belong in his country on his WTKK-FM show as he spoke with callers about how the U.S. is handling the swine flu emergency.

He also agreed with a caller who said that immigrants shouldn't receive health care, saying that emergency rooms had "become essentially condos for Mexicans."

The swine flu reportedly originated in Mexico, where virtually all public life has been halted to stop the spread of the disease.

Severin's lawyer, George Tobia, didn't immediately comment.
