Police Search for Man in Del. River

A 24-year-old man was rescued by fisherman

Police are searching for a 58-year-old man after the canoe he and his son were on overturned in the Delaware River Sunday.

Investigators say the pair were canoeing in the area of the Wing Dam just south of Lambertville, NJ shortly after 4:00 p.m.

As they went through the sluice -- middle part where the New Hope and Lambertville sides of the dam connect -- their canoe capsized, investigators said.

The son, 24, was able to swim close enough to shore to be rescued by a fisherman.

The search operation was called off at dusk Sunday. No word yet on when it will resume.
