Arrest Warrant Issued in West Philly Double Murder

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in the shooting deaths of a man and a woman in a west Philadelphia bar last week, according to police.

Police said Monday that 43-year-old Tyheem Melton is wanted in the slayings at The Corral Bar, which were reported shortly after 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Officials said 38-year-old Troy Wimberly died less than a half-hour later at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Forty-three-year-old Crystal Shadding was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said Melton should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call homicide detectives.

Melton remained at large; a listed number in his name could not be found Monday and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
