“You Took My Husband's Life”

The same gang of boys who terrorized a Strawberry Mansion teenager is now accused of killing the boy's father and sending his sister to the hospital.

"There was so many bullet shots, I didn't know my husband was shot and I'm trying to find my children, and as I run, I run past my husband's body," Tanya Taylor said, crying.

Her son, 13, had come with cuts and bruises, after being beat up, allegedly by a group of classmates. On Sunday night, that same group of guys attacked her son at Mander Playground on the corner of 33rd and Diamond, according to police.

"The five males assaulted for a second time, the son, collectively, punching and kicking him while he was on the ground," said Philadelphia Police Captain, James Clark.

Taylor said her husband tried to pull the attackers off of their son, when the gunfire started, killing Nyeme Taylor, 30.

"He was only out here to protect his son," Tanya Taylor said, crying "and you all took my husband's life."

Taylor's 15-year-old daughter's leg was shattered by gunfire and two other girls, ages six and ten, were shot in the face, according to police.

Police are on the hunt for the gang of five, who all fled the scene.
