Asante, DeSean Fly for Birds

It was made official Sunday morning -- Eagles super weapons Asante Samuel and DeSean Jackson were active for the Giants game.

Samuel returned after missing three games with a knee injury. Jackson hurt his foot last week against the Cowboys but had no plans to miss the Eagles first-place showdown at the Meadowlands.

A couple Birds starters though were out of the lineup Sunday. Starting right tackle Winston Justice was out again with a knee injury and as expected linebacker Stewart Bradley was out with a dislocated elbow.

King Dunlap stepped in for Justice for the second-straight game and rookie Jamar Chaney stepped in for Bradley.

The other notable Eagles inactives were recently resigned DE Derrick Burgess and rookie LB Keenan Clayton.

The inactive list was rounded out by CB Brandon Hughes, T Austin Howard, TE Garrett Mills and third-string QB Mike Kafka.

The Giants will be without WR Steve Smith who is out for the rest of the season after knee surgery.

The Giants inactives Sunday were TE Jake Ballard, T Jamon Meredith, G Mitch Petrus, WR Darius Reynolds, WR Devin Thomas, DB Michael Coe, DE Alex Hall and DT Linval Joseph.
